Monday, June 19 – MEMBERSHIP MEETING at the North Ridgeville Library at 7 p.m.
Program – Guest speaker, Bill from the Lorain Port Authority will reveal programs of interest available for summer and fall in and around Lake Erie.
Monday, July 17 – MEMBERSHIP MEETING at the North Ridgeville Library at 7 p.m.
Program – Georgann Blair will lead us in creating Driftwood Sculptures. Please bring acrylic paints of assorted colors and brushes.

MINUTES MEMBERSHIP MEETING – May 15, 2017
Program – Helen Truskolaski, who is a retired AAA Tour Guide, started storytelling down memory lane by talking about her mother, who crocheted handkerchiefs for her for special occasions such as her prom and wedding. They would eventually be passed down to other generations. Members of the arts council also shared stories about their mothers, grandmothers and daughters.
Attendance: Georgann Blair, Mary Beth Bogner, Nancy Bowman, Margaret Brooks-Terry, Betty Day, Nancy Franks, Nancy Gavin, Ludina Mills, Betty Lou Palmer; Karen Sigsworth, Vee Valega.
Betty Lou Palmer, president, brought our meeting to order.
Minutes – Nancy Franks made a motion that we accept the April minutes as received and Margaret Brooks-Terry seconded the motion.
Financial Report – Ludina Mills, our treasurer, reported our current bank balance is $4105.04. She gave copies of the financial statement from April 17 – May 15, 2017 to members in attendance. The treasurer’s report was accepted as read.
Dues are due! – $20 Membership dues may be paid to Treasurer, Ludina Mills. Thank you!
Corn Festival – We have 10 contracts so far!
Scholarship – Betty Lou announced the scholarship winner, Morgan Chilton. She attends Elyria Catholic and will be attending Baldwin Wallace. Mary Beth sent her a letter and Betty Lou is giving the certificate to her.
North Ridgeville City Schools – Georgann will make a basket to be raffled at the Endowment Golf Outing on June 8th.
North Ridgeville Recreation Department – Garalynn made a PowerPoint ad for the Summer Movie Series each week starting June 16 at dusk for six weeks. It is a family event. Thank you Garalynn!
Nancy Franks reported that President Trump is trying to cut funding for the arts and suggests that we should write to our local politicians – Sherrod Brown and Rob Portman. Nancy will write the letter and bring it to the meeting in May.

Olde Town Hall Theater – now showing Steel Magnolias.
A motion to close the meeting was made by Nancy Bowman and Vee Valega seconded the motion.
