Monday, May 15 – MEMBERSHIP MEETING at the North Ridgeville Library at 7:00 p.m.
Program – Helen will be storytelling “Down Memory Lane” in honor of Mother’s Day. Don’t forget to wear a large hat to the meeting!
MINUTES – MEMBERSHIP MEETING – April 17, 2017
Attendance: Georgann Blair, Mary Beth Bogner, Nancy Bowman, Nancy Franks, Nancy Gavin, Ludina Mills, Betty Lou Palmer; Karen Sigsworth, Jerry Toich, Garalynn Tomas, Vee Valega
Betty Lou Palmer, president, brought our meeting to order.
Minutes – Ludina Mills made a motion that we accept the March minutes as received and Nancy Bowman seconded the motion.
Financial Report – Ludina Mills, our treasurer, reported our current bank balance is $3951.81. She gave copies of the financial statement from March 20 through April 17 to members in attendance. The treasurer’s report was accepted as read.
Dues are due! $20 Membership dues may be paid to Treasurer, Ludina Mills. Thank you!!
Community Care – Received a thank you for the donation toward the Easter baskets
North Ridgeville City Schools – Georgann Blair reported she received an email from Josh, the art teacher from NRHS, stating that no artwork was submitted from the students.
We did receive one scholarship application so far. They are due May 1st. Cindy Noprestic will have artwork from the elementary school students to display at the library.
North Ridgeville Recreation Department – Nancy Bowman made a motion that we donate $250 to South Central Park and Margaret Truman seconded the motion for a Summer Movie Series each week starting June 16 at dusk for six weeks. It is a family event.
Nancy Franks reported that President Trump is trying to cut funding for the arts and suggests that we should write to our local politicians-Sherrod Brown and Rob Portman. Nancy will write the letter and bring it to the meeting in May.
Lolly the Trolley – June 11 from 1:00 – 3:15 p.m. If anyone is interested, please contact Nancy Franks ASAP!
Olde Town Hall Theatre is now showing Steel Magnolias.
Future meetings: Nancy Franks suggest going to Artist for A Day. Will find out more information.
Meeting in July: Georgann will show us how to make wooden sculptures. Please bring acrylic paint.
NRAC Officers for the 2017 – 2018 Fiscal Year – The following people were sworn in as officers by Garalynn Tomas.

North Ridgeville Corn Fest Arts and Crafts Fair – The Corn Fest will be held on the weekend of August 11 – 13, 2017 in the air-conditioned North Ridgeville Senior Center. We currently have seven people who have paid. Mark your calendars.
A motion to close the meeting was made by Nancy Franks and Georgann Blair seconded the motion.
