Cheryl is a master at remanufacturing old gold pieces. Cheryl spoke to us predominantly about charm bracelets. High School Art – The cost of framing the North Ridgeville High School winning artwork was $252.86. We made that donation as we do annually.
Artistic Endeavor Award Scholarship – The 2014 winner is Kelly Tomko who was chosen from five entries. Kelly has been accepted at Baldwin Wallace University and plans to major in theater and minor in dance. She hopes to promote the arts by teaching and/or being a counselor or mentor. Opening a performing arts company is her ultimate goal. While maintaining excellent grades through high school, she has achieved many awards through her NRHS band experience and National Honor Society.
Membership – Nancy Gavin reported that 100 letters and membership cards were mailed to individuals and businesses asking for membership dues and/or donations to North Ridgeville Arts Council. Some of us saw the Olde Towne Hall Theatre production of Over the River and Through the Woods. It was excellent. Arts Council supports Olde Towne Hall Theatre, who put on excellent productions.
Art Show – A display of art from students at North Ridgeville Schools of all ages was enjoyed by all after our meeting.
