Just in time for Halloween, an “other-worldly” program will soon strike the North Ridgeville Arts Council!

From séances and Ouija boards to phrenology and ghosts, this program will describe the various beliefs and practices of the Victorians regarding the “other world” and our ability to reach the inhabitants there.

Jim Smith of the Lorain County Historical Society will present a 30-minute program with pictures illustrating some of these practices titled “Eerie Victorians.”

The program will be presented at the North Ridgeville Arts Council meeting on Monday, October 17th at the North Ridgeville Public Library (35700 Bainbridge Road in North Ridgeville) at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend at no cost.
