“To boldly go where no man has gone before.” Star Trek fans may recognize this phrase at the start of every episode of that intrepid 1960s TV series. It could also apply to the program being presented to the North Ridgeville Arts Council on Monday, April 18th at the North Ridgeville Public Library at 7 p.m.
“Victorian Secrets,” presented by Janet Bird of Lorain County Historical Society, will take a brief “peek” behind the closed doors and, in some cases, under the skirts of the very prim and proper ladies of the Victorian period. The articles of clothing revealed in the program are from the collection of the Lorain County Historical Society and, with few exceptions, were handmade.
The public is invited to attend the presentation at no cost.
